Group Manager Maintenance and Storage

This position belongs to department 91600, Product Development Laboratory, at the PD (Product Development) Volvo Powertrain Sweden, located in Gothenburg. Product Development Laboratory is a complete test laboratory with test capability for engine, transmission, drive line, acoustic and system testing. Within Product Development Laboratory we are today focusing on increased effectiveness, future investments and we are implementing Volvo production System. In this phase we are looking for a group manager for Maintenance & Storage. Job Description: Group 91634, Maintenance & Storage, is now looking for a group manager. The group consists of 15 persons. Maintenance & Storage main responsibility is to service and maintain Product Developmet Laboratories facilities and process systems to secure a high operation availability of our test cells and other test equipment within the laboratory. The group are also responsible for two measurement equipment storages. As manager you will be responsible for: Follow-up and improvement activities of facility service and maintenance system Structured way of working to ensure high up-time of test supporting process system Activities to ensure that the laboratory recover and saves energy in the most effective way Defining goals for your group and follow-up Secure and develop competence within the responsible area Ensure that your group is constantly striving to deliver with quality, effectivness and according to time plans Take responsibility for long term planning in the area of facility maintenance, facility operations and facility system related investments Qualifications: Drive to improve our processes and way of working Result oriented Ability to set up goals and communicating goals to create commitment Proven ability to motivate and inspire people You have an analytical mind and communication skills in both Swedish and English Experience from facility maintenance and operational activities Competencies required in Volvo leadership level ?Leading People Your personal qualifications: Contribute to a positive atmosphere with an open and honest attitude Be an inspiring leader and have a genuine interest in working with people Delegate responsibility to fulfil targets and obtain results Structured in your work, information and follow-ups Courage and confidence to give and take positive and negative feedback Personal qualities include the ability to take initiative, a desire for improvement as well as a sound ability to communicate and engage people Experience of facility service and maintenance is a merit At Volvo Powertrain we are actively working to establish teams that will take maximum advantage of the strength inherent in differences in knowledge, experience, age, gender and nationality, etc. Due to current personnel structure we especially welcome female applicants for this position.
