Group manager quality engineering, Huskvarna Manufacturing

The primary focus of this position is to supervise and coordinate the quality engineering work within the plant, assuring top quality products and components. Huskvarna Manufacturing is mainly divided into Diecasting & Machining, assembly of Rider, assembly of handheld products and assembly of construction products. Monitor overall activities to ensure quality of products and components. Coordinating support to production in re-active quality work and coordinating preventive quality assurance work, both in projects and todays production. Managing quality engineers and technicians, reporting factory KPI's and supporting improvements.

Essential Duties:
- Manage a department of quality engineers and technicians, prioritizing efforts and coordinating personnel.
- Report and develop quality metrics.
- Provide performance evaluations and develop personnel, both white and blue collar employees.
- Interface with product quality, and R&D SQA&D.
- Establish performance goals and job assignments.
- Document, counsel and take corrective action as appropriate, to enforce company rules, policies and procedures.
- Supervise internal audit process on critical processes affecting quality engineering.
- Interact with suppliers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Work in close cooperation with other departments.

Qualifications:
. Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a fast paced, high volume, manufacturing environment.
. Must be self-directed and self-disciplined, ability to perform duties without close supervision.
. Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and oral/written communication skills are required, along with a strong work ethic is required.
. Solid computer skills are required, to include MS office with advanced skills in Excel.
. Excellent analyst, with broad experience in quality work, preventive and re-active.
. Expert in applying 8D and other quality tools.
. Expert knowledge in statistics and SPC.
. Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred.

Skills and Capabilities:

Previous experience developing and implementing quality systems, including but not limited to ISO certification, production readiness, supplier quality, control plans, layered audits, and customer service.

. Driven to achieve targets
. Strong oral and written communication skills
. Good English and Swedish skills both in reading and writing
. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
