Hard Coatings Expert

Your Role
As a Hard Coatings Expert, you are part of Husqvarna's Primary & Concept Development team.

You will work with cutting technology for chainsaws and trimmers, and you will be involved in development of new concepts that improve the cutting performance.

Your main challenge will be to fully understand the wear processes for different cutting technology applications in order to find and develop new coatings that can improve the products with respect to wear and friction.

You will drive and develop the Hard Coatings and tribology field regarding cutting technology with a long-term view to find solutions for 5-15 years ahead.

You will have an extensive internal network within Husqvarna Group and co-operate with different functions.

You will also work with universities, institutes and companies since we participate in national and international research projects.

You will enjoy freedom and responsibility in your task to strengthen this field at Husqvarna.

You will have the possibility to develop yourself and to further increase your competence.

You will report to manager for Primary & Concept Development at Husqvarna Parts and Accessories.


Who you are
. M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a field related to hard coatings or wear of hard coatings
. Practical experience from thin film technology is required.
. Knowledge of tribology and wear is desired.
. Experience from both university and industry is an advantage.
. You are part of a network in the field.


As a person you are a team player who has a large internal drive and likes to work both independently and in a group. When working in a group you can put prestige aside and focus on problem solving.
