Overview :

The Head of Business Development, Nordics is responsible for driving revenue growth via new publisher acquisition, client retention and upselling of current publisher customers. This position requires carrying a list of key accounts and prospects within territories necessitating senior-level account management. The Head of Business Development, Nordics will focus the team on building long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with large traditional & online media companies, as well as other ComScore Top 500 digital publishers. This includes directing account management resources to support client success. The Head of Business Development, Nordics is ultimately responsible for all territory revenue. Successful candidates for this position will possess superior communication and sales skills that can be applied to both the sales process and internal communications. Other requirements include uncovering core objections and analysing and providing creative solutions. This role requires deep expertise in online advertising, ad technology and buying & selling platforms. In addition, this position requires leadership skills in guiding the team in transitioning from product to solution selling. In order to succeed, the candidate will need to apply a combination of sales, management and strategic skills to quickly build and maintain relationships vertically across publisher organizations while earning the trust and respect of internal team members. It is a lead role with the scope to develop into a Regional Director position.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·         BA/BS degree, MBA or equivalent preferred

·         Experience and strong knowledge of the Nordic online advertising industry, with an emphasis on the performance marketplace

·         Expert understanding of the premium publisher landscape: monetization strategies, sales channel conflict management, brand safety concerns and display advertising technologies

·         Extensive sales experience in comparable industries (working in sales or account management for an online publisher, ad network or Ad Tech company)

·         Strong set of demonstrable existing relationships in the Nordics with large media companies at the VP Sales level, VP/Director, Ad Ops

·         Driven and flexible self-starter with strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

·         Excellent problem-solving, analytical and written/spoken communication skills; ability to communicate effectively to a C-level audience

·         Prior Management experience is a plus

·         Fluency in Swedish and English

 

Responsibilities:

·         Directly responsible for growing the revenue of publisher clients in region. This involves both maintaining and growing current clients as well as acquiring new premium publisher clients

·         Providing regular and best in class service to client portfolio including reporting and forecasting, as well as consultative upselling of new Criteo products to fulfil their strategic business requirements

·         Management duty of BDM team member, tasked with developing their sales and negotiating skills as well as ensuring they achieve and succeed quarterly targets

·         Relationship Management: Foster “C” level relationships with the executives of your portfolio of publishers

·         Build close working relationships and proactively provide strategic business initiatives to the senior management team at Criteo. This would include multidisciplinary stakeholders, including Client Services, Marketing, Operations and Product teams.

·         Building and maintaining product and industry knowledge, keeping abreast of product enhancements and latest industry trends, and providing market feedback to publisher sales management and other company functions.

·         Up to 40% travel required
