Head of Demand Planning and Logistics - Rock Tools

Arbetsbeskrivning

Are you excited by having a large, global network and the opportunity of making an impact on our operations by bringing innovation and new ideas to the table? We have recently formed a new and autonomous Global Operations organization, and we’re now ready to gear up. Our goal is clear – we’re aiming to holistically optimize our entire global value chain and creating an effective, modern structure by using digitalization as a tool for success.

For this new organization within Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology and division Rock Tools, we’re looking for a brave and business minded Head of Demand Planning and Logistics, with a truly international reach. Joining us, you’ll really feel the pulse of a global industrial frontrunner and you get to connect with brilliant minds spread across all corners of the world. We have the aspiration of setting the industry standard, and if you have a global outlook, high ambitions and a genuine desire to collaborate, this is the job for you!

Well, what about the job?
As Head of Demand Planning and Logistics, you’re the owner of our customer demand forecasting process and logistics network globally. You remotely lead a team of experienced and highly driven planning and logistics managers, based in our sales regions across all continents. This job comes with a clear mission, and that is to ensure a strong voice of the customer into our Global Operations organization and to collaborate along all parts of our value chain to increase capital efficiency. By doing so, we’ll take one step closer to world-class operations!

You dig deep into our processes and you look at the benefits of digitalization - holistically identifying standardized, simplified and improved ways of working, as well as sharing best practices and valuable insights between our regions. You’re also a valued member of the management team for Global Operations; a courageous and action-driven group of collaborators with a common passion to enhance our performance by
driving the right analytics and striving towards a seamless data flow.

You travel globally across our sales areas to collaborate with your team and our stakeholders. As we have our major hubs in Sandviken and Västberga, Stockholm (Sweden), we believe that you need to be located at one of these sites. We do want your presence in Sandviken on a weekly basis.

Your experience is important, and your personality is what makes you great!
Your background is formed within the field of demand planning, forecasting and logistics, with a career that includes similar positions and experience from operating in multiple countries. In such an international role, your flexible and open-minded attitude is a great tool when facing people from different cultures. This means that you also need to be fluent in English, while we consider Swedish as beneficial. With extensive knowledge of global distribution networks and broad understanding of planning and logistics, you’re confident in challenging us and in driving the next level of performance.

Your leadership style is based on transparency, inspiring communication and giving the freedom to act. You’re also very clear with your expectations and you build a team culture that sets ambitious targets and aim for great results. Collaboration is in the core of your character, and you have an excellent ability to understand the needs of our business and transform this into a successful action plan.

A glimpse of our culture
At Sandvik, we believe in finding that perfect mix between work, family life and interests, and we happily support our employees in balancing this. For us, it’s also clear that diversity of experience, perspective and background forms an amazing foundation for achieving great results.
