Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions (SMR) is a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, parts, service, digital solutions and sustainability-driving technologies for the mining and construction industries. One of our key success factors is our 17 000 brilliant employees – the ones who brought us to the market leading position we hold today, and the ambassadors of our brand and culture. To continue attracting, engaging and developing top talents in the best possible way for our business, we’re now making a move towards an even more employee-centric, digital and agile approach.
In line with the Sandvik Shift strategy – our platform to enable necessary shifts focusing on growth, sustainability, customers, agility, digitalization and, of course, employee value – we’re now looking for a Head of Employee Experience with focus on learning and talent acquisition to develop our people across SMR. Are you ready to embark on an exciting career where you get the chance to work together with brilliant minds and shape best practices in an international arena?
About the job
You’ll be joining a company that has set the foundation for growth, and you’ll lead our brand-new Employee Experience function, with the goal of taking our employee journey to a new level through cross-functional collaboration and a holistic view. You manage an international team of six HR professionals and take the overall responsibility for the whole function – including talent acquisition, talent management, succession planning, learning & development, employee engagement, diversity & inclusion and performance management.
Collaborating with our divisions, you set the direction for SMR in the journey towards an even more employee centric organization. You continue to drive improvements to take us to the next level, constantly responding to changing business needs – working together with your own team as well as other HR professionals across our businesses.
You oversee strategic planning and design of our employer branding and onboarding programs, as well as talent pooling, common leadership programs and trainings – ensuring that everything we do supports the company strategy. You and your team ensure smooth collaborations and take part in expertise forums, both on business area and group level. You’re also the manager of our SMR Executive Leadership program, which will be delivered for the next twelve months for our top 130 leaders. Keeping up with market trends and best practices in the area of employee experience and talent acquisition is important, and you share your knowledge and insights with stakeholders at all levels.
You report to, and act in close collaboration with SMR Vice President & Head of Human Resources, and you’re a valued member of the SMR HR Management team. The location for this role is at the World Trade Center in Stockholm. Since we’re a global business, travel will be a natural part of the role, as well as efficient digital collaboration across time zones.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with extensive experience from working as an HR leader and with in-depth knowledge of talent acquisition, learning, or another relevant field. You’ve been working both strategically and operationally in a global environment and you’re thrilled by leading a global team with professionals from different cultures and across multiple time zones. You’re used to navigating in a decentralized organization with cross-functional collaborations and close contact with managers and HR. You’re also comfortable in presenting to stakeholders at all levels, including Executive Management. We expect an interest in new digital solutions and good knowledge of Office 365, while experience from using Workday are advantageous. As we act in a global setting, you must be fluent in English, verbally and in writing.
You’re characterized by a structured, pragmatic and innovative way of working, and you capture opportunities without losing track of our direction. With a strategic and holistic view, you respond timely on business requirements and act on both urgent, short-term and long-term objectives. In all of your work, you rely on strong stakeholder management and great collaborations, and you empower people to find efficient solutions, look at new perspectives and share best practices.
