Head of Financial control commericial operations

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

We are now looking for a head of a financial control commercial operations.

Financial control commercial operations is a group within Group reporting and control and is responsible for group accounting, consolidation and follow-up of the commercial operations within the Scania group. Deliveries from the group include reports and analysis of the financial performance of the commercial operations to the commercial operations management but analyses is also included in reports to Scania’s CFO and executive board. As part of the group reporting and control organisation this mission demands qualitative, timely and relevant financial. Location for this position is at Scania’s head office in Södertälje.

Job summary

Your work task will include to lead and plan the activities for the group within its responsibility areas. You will secure relevant reporting and well-functioning processes for the commercial entities in the group reporting process. You will lead the group and the coworkers towards established goals with starting point from Scanias core values and principles, and also support your coworkers in their competence development.


• Lead the group and develop coworkers
• Group period & yearly closing for the commercial operations
• Analysis and follow-up of the commercial operations in the Scania group
• Drive projects and investigations within the financial reporting and control area within Scania CV
• Ad-hoc analysis
• Continues development regarding reporting, follow-up and process

The position will give a great opportunity to understand accounting/reporting applications and the business structure within the Scania group and especially commercial operations. The position will expose you to a wide range of people from different parts of the organisation, both within Scania and Traton that will give possibilities to create a good network.

Your profile

We are looking for a person with a degree in finance or business with 5-10 years’ experience and a few years as a manger. Experience could be from financial reporting in an international group or similar. We believe that you have a great interest in accounting, financial reporting and controlling as well as like to work with process development and continuous improvements. It’s a merit if you have knowledge about Scania and VW reporting systems. You are an experienced Excel and PowerPoint user, further in general knowledgeable in IT. Since we work in a global environment, you need to be able to communicate in both English and Swedish.

Personal skills

We believe that you are a person who likes structure and is accurate. To be able to solve complex tasks you need to be analytical as a person and have high problem solving skills. You are used to work towards goals and drive change projects which means that you have a high delivery capacity. As manager you work with your team to motivate and develop an efficient team. A service-minded and solution-oriented attitude is something we place great value in, therefore you need to have both social and communicative skills since the position will expose you to internal and external contacts.
