Main responsibilities include:

You will lead a team of multi-disciplinary UX Professionals that define the foundational guidance, design tools and design inspiration for the Volvo Cars UX organisation.

Design inspiration is about defining the creative expression of Volvo’s digital products. You will work with other UX leaders and company stakeholder to align the direction and define the systems that make Volvo Cars excel in in its core product and service experiences. For designer tools, you will help provide tools for the rest of the the UX team to support design alignment, speed of implementation and cultural development such as supporting communication, defining libraries, courses and more to promote user experience best practices, and help make the UX and product teams more efficient.

You will be an advocate for UX and its related disciplines and work with stakeholder across the company for creative alignment. This role helps provide a holistic view on the user experience so we can keep things aligned across the teams.

Who you are:

* You’ve been designing for 15+ years for a consumer-focused tech company, so you understand what it takes to create elegant, consumer-oriented experiences.
* Proven experience managing teams of designers and other creative professionals to achieve great results.
* Experience building tools, processes, facilitation and communications to support design advocacy and team efficiency.
* Experience developing design guidelines, design systems, icon systems, brand guidelines and more.
* Strong collaborator, able influence senior stakeholders and build collaboration at a company level.
* You’re a strong communicator. Who can inspire teams towards action and empathy for the user.
* You have a people-focused design mentality.

Location:

Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. As a leadership position, the candidate is expected to primarily be onsite.
