The purpose of PDU Packet Core 2.0 is to adapt Product Development Unit Packet Core (PDU PC) to the market realities of 2022 and beyond.

Job Summary:
Solution Area Packet Core (SA PC) is responsible for Ericsson´s industry leading Packet Core portfolio and solutions and is the foundation for Ericsson’s technology leadership. PDU Packet Core is focused on securing our ongoing market leadership in Packet Core domain, taking a leadership position in 5G, and continuing to invest for sustainable technology leadership within a highly competitive market. Reporting to the Head of Product Development Unit Packet Core (PDU PC), you will be responsible for leading our Product Integration and Release unit.
Product Integration and Release is the global responsible for continuous integration, system verification as well as test strategy of Packet Core portfolio covering the complete lifecycle of the associated products. As the Head of the Product Integration and Release, you will also have a release responsibility for the Edge PCG product. You will be accountable for the product quality and performance and are expected to set a high bar and challenge yourself and organization for continuous improvements.

Job Responsibilities:
You will lead a global team of software engineers, consisting of own employees, as well as suppliers and consultants working with test strategy, continuous integration and system verification of the Packet Core portfolio. You will be expected to relentlessly pursue quality and on time deliveries.
You will work closely with other Development Groups within PDU PC to achieve high quality product deliveries.
You will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing a global site strategy in line with the overall PDU PC site strategy. This also includes ensuring the overall competence, resource strategy, leadership and viability of the site including partners.


Product Integration and Release Unit is responsible for key functions listed below:
Responsible for the Test Strategy for the portfolio of Packet Core products & solutions.
Responsible for the Continuous Integration and System Verification and Release of main products and solutions within PDU PC.
Responsible for definition and execution of the Product Release and Maintenance strategies.
Responsible for the execution of a CI/CD program with lead customers.
Responsible for integration, verification and release of Edge PCG.


Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
Demonstrated hunger to deliver what the customer needs when they need it.
Strong product development background with demonstrated passion for SW development and especially the verification “craft”.
Interest and good understanding of the concepts of Lean and Agile ways of working.
Ability to support line independent program flows.
Background in Packet Core software and Cloud Native CI principles is desirable.

Solid experience as a senior leader of complex technical organizations in a multi-stakeholder environment
Strong cultural awareness and experience of leading multi-site organizations or projects
Communication and collaboration skills are key. Transparency, listening skills and ability to motivate and inspire people.
Courageous leadership, providing clear direction and setting appropriate standards of behavior through uncompromising integrity.
