ABOUT THE ROLE 🏢
Bio-Works is looking for a Production Manager to oversee our production department's operations and strategic planning. The Production Manager will lead five Production Technicians and one Process Engineer. You can almost guess by its name, but the production team is responsible for manufacturing of products marketed by the company. Your manager will be our COO.

Managing the production team requires a sharp mind with good knowledge of the production processes and specific manufacturing methods. The goal for this department is to ensure that our products are available to our customers - in time, in the right quantities, and according to the right quality!

In this role, you will oversee our entire production and hold responsibility and accountability for operational, tactical, strategic planning and prioritization within our manufacturing process's.

Your daily activities will be

- Creating and managing our entire production planning from strategic to operational level, according to the company’s strategy.
- According to the company's strategy and customer demand, decide which products get produced and which products get prioritized in the production process.
- Leading a small team in their everyday production operations.
- Managing our product range from a technical perspective and ensuring safe and timely delivery of quality supply based on production schedules while maintaining an efficient operation.
- Oversee our overall supply chain and procurement, including contact with the suppliers and purchasing of materials.
- Assessing new strategic business opportunities from a production point of view.
- Overseeing and following up the reporting process of quality deviations.
- Participating in and implementing new product development strategies together with the other departments.
- Hands-on working within the production process as well as creating or updating documentation according to the QMS system.


DESIRED BACKGROUND 👩🏻‍🎓👨🏽‍🎓

- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, process or polymer engineering or similar field.
- At least two years of experience as production manager or similar role, preferably from a small fast-growing company in an international setting.
- Experience with formulating production strategies regarding prioritizing production, process efficiency, purchasing and quality assurance.
- Experience with dealing with challenges and opportunities which arise for a small company when experiencing fast growth.
- Experience with transforming strategies to operational plans, reports, follow-ups, and other decision-making supporting material.
- Experience in working within an ISO framework of regulations.
- Business fluency in English and Swedish

Also, you have the ability to build and manage interpersonal relationships with all people within the company.

To be successful in this role, you need to have a hands-on attitude combined with a strategic analytical mindset. You need organization skills to develop a strategic approach and translate that to operational tasks. And last, but definitely not least you need to be people-oriented, social, a driven team player and have a leadership style that shows a high level of both authority and empathy.
