HR Business Partner - Indirect Purchasing

Sandvik is a global industrial group with advanced products and world-leading positions in selected areas' tools for metal cutting, equipment and tools for the mining and construction industries, stainless materials, special alloys, metallic and ceramic resistance materials, as well as process systems.

The Indirect Purchasing organization is global, with personnel in all the main countries where Sandvik has a larger number of employees. We are responsible for all interaction with the supplier market and manage the supplier efforts to deliver the right quality, on time and at the lowest total cost on all products and services purchased to Sandvik. Right now the Indirect purchasing organization is looking for an HR Business Partner.

This position as HR Business Partner is a temporary position replacing a maternity leave. The intended time period is approximately a year with possible prolongation. You will be a member of the management team and contribute to the development of the business strategy and strategic initiatives in the organization. You will report to the Chief Purchasing Officer Indirect, and have a dotted reporting line to the VP HR Group Functions.

Location for the position is preferably in Stockholm, or possibly in one of the larger Sandvik entities in Sweden, with frequent travel to Stockholm.

Key performance areas
As an HR Business Partner you provide HR expertise and support for the achievement of strategic business goals. You develop and ensure the implementation of the People Strategy within the organization and ensure compliance with global policies, local legislation and labor agreements.

Other responsibilities in this role:
- Source and facilitate the provision of services together with other parts of the HR organizations
- Develop, implement and ensure follow through on the measures and activities needed to develop a culture of a high performance organization
- Manage and ensure follow through of core HR policies and processes
- Act as a change agent within the area of responsibility
- Support managers in managing change by offering expertise and tools
- Communicate HR strategy initiatives and process updates to managers and employees
- Liaise with the Region/Country HR Manager to support alignment and create synergies within the country/region

This position involves international travel and you need to have the ability to work effectively within, and report to, a matrix organization.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a relevant degree or equivalent training and/or experience, including at least 3-5 years' experience working in HR in several different processes. You also have experience of working in a virtual organization, where your colleagues are located in other places or countries. Experience from industrial work and an international organization is advantageous. Good English and Swedish, in both writing and speaking, are required for this position.

You are principled, articulate and good at making decisions and you have the ability to create your own network.
