The role
In the role as the HR specialist you will be responsible for not only driving but implementing human resource development initiatives and foster strong relationships and good cooperation between important stakeholders at MSF. Focus will be on HR related matters for office staff. The HR specialist will be an important part in ensuring that the dialogue between the employer, employees, and managers, is done in a collaborative and efficient way. The role is part of the HR department, where we are 15 people supporting both staff working in our international programs and the office staff in Sweden. The HR specialist reports to the HR Director in Sweden.
What you will be doing
Responsibility for introducing, developing, and implementing policies and HR procedures within areas of working environment, work and law matters, performance and development
Take lead in developing and implementing MSFs accountabilities in terms of health and well being for employees
Be a strategic advisor to support management and staff in HR matters
Coach and support managers and employees in HR related matters
Responsible for negotiations with the local union club regarding collective bargaining agreement
Be a focal point in the safety committee group to ensure MSFs compliance with the working environment act
Be a gate keeper for new labor law legislation and be responsible for compliance and implementation when needed


Who you are
You are a team player with strong interpersonal skills. You have the ability to work independent, with a team spirit, to manage uncertainty, to set priorities and to show both yourself and the movement the ability to learn and change. You are attentive to details and accuracy and self-steering. You have ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently and to be successful you will need to flourish in an operational role, while at the same time keeping a strategic overview.
Requirements for the position
Experience of working as a HR advisor/HR specialist/HRBP (minimum 4 years’ experience)
Education and/or academic degree in Human Resources or equivalent
Thorough knowledge of Swedish labor law legislation
Experience with union practices and health and safety policies
Commitment to MSF principles and a humanitarian interest
Excellent oral and written English communication
Good knowledge of MS Office package



Valuable
Experience of working in a humanitarian or non-governmental organization
Fluency in Swedish, written and spoken

Conditions of employment
Employment type: Permanent contract (6 months prohibition period)
Work hours: Goal oriented contract with 37,5 hours work week (100%) and possibility to flex
Salary: Base salary 37 242 SEK/month + according to MSFSE salary policy an additional 1,5% for every year of MSF experience
Benefits: Pension, health insurance, life insurance, travel insurance, insurance for work related injuries, wellness contribution (2 000 SEK/year)
Full compensation day 1-14 of sick leave
Vacation: 30 days/year
Location: Based in Stockholm, with occasional travels
Entry date: Preferably November 2021
