HSE Manager

Our customer is a global supplier of sustainable technology and service for mining, construction, energy, automation, metal recycling and the pulp and paper industries. They have operations in 50 countries and more than 28 000 employees. This position belongs to a business line within the segment Energy and Environmental Technology and supplies customers within the pulp-, paper and energyindustries with leading technology and life cycle-services. They design, build and start up plants that give carbon dioxide-neutral energy as well as environmentally and energyefficient chemical recovery. The business line has about 1750 employees of which about 400 are located in Gothenburg. POSITION The HSE Manager reports to the General Manager HSE and to management in Gothenburg. HSE Manager is responsible for ensuring that HSE management system requirements are maintained in the business line's Swedish operations in order to achieve compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and global HSE objectives and goals defined for the business line. Main tasks are to: . Support local office, workshop and site personnel in HSE activities (meetings, risk assessment etc.) . Develop local HSE management system in order to facilitate continuous improvement of HSE performance according to given objectives . Communicate HSE performance, provide analyzed data for management and prepare monthly HSE reporting of the business line HSE . Implement HSE policy and HSE guidelines of the business line . Follow-up and share information about local HSE requirements from legislation and from our customers . Support management in incident investigation (RCA) . Represent the business line's Swedish in global HSE network and give input for global HSE development . Participate in internal and external HSE audit programs (OHSAS18001 and ISO14001) . Plan and conduct internal HSE training . Participate in the Safety Committee CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND QUALITIES . Bachelor degree or above . At least 4 years working experience in industrial sector, preferably in HSE related tasks. . Good Swedish and English skills, written and spoken . Good knowledge of HSE legislation, standards and policies . Experience on risk assessment and RCA (root cause analysis) models is meriting . Motivated individual with the authority to own and drive HSE-activities as well as the ability to work under stress and meet deadlines . Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-language atmosphere . Ability and willingness to travel frequently. For this position, traveling is estimated to 50-70 days per year, most of which can be done on a day-to-day basis.
