Job description
The primary purpose of the HVAC System Engineer is to ensure that the system fulfills all requirements. This consists of specifying the system requirements and documenting the system solution by;
-Supporting the Supply Management with all technical documentation necessary for a successful sourcing of the system
-Ensuring that technical risks of the system are identified and strategies for mitigation of the risks are developed
-Leading a successful integration (electrical, functional and physical) of the system and type test and evaluation with customer.
Key accountabilities of the role holder include for the system:
-Delivering the particular deliverables of the project including scope, quality, and timeliness, with the resources committed in the Blue Book
-Making the technical evaluation of tenders from system suppliers and choose supplier and ensuring proper integration (electrical, functional and physical) with other parts of the train.
Further accountabilities include ensuring technical compliance with both the client specification and the regulatory authority's demands; planning the system work packages together with the Vehicle Engineer and executing the project tasks according to BES and project specific rules and regulations.
Qualifications
Education: Well documented education within thermodynamics and science of flow.
Experiences: At least 3 years relevant experience within thermodynamics and science of flow onboard vehicles, international projects, vehicle knowledge, knowledge of electrical engineering, knowledge of product development.
Behavioural requirements: strong communication skills, structured and independent working skills.
Fluent in Swedish and English language is essential.
