HUSQVARNA IS LOOKING FOR AN IN-HOUSE LAWYER
Are you looking for a new challenge and do you want to work in a successful and international company?

Husqvarna's Legal Affairs unit has four departments: Law, Risk Management and Insurance, Environment, and Intellectual Property (IP).The unit provides the Husqvarna Group with support in these areas and comprises approximately 35 people located around the world.Our task is to provide company management and business units with the required service and support within our respective areas of responsibility.

We are now seeking an additional IP lawyer for our IP Department, who will be based in Huskvarna, Sweden.The IP department currently consists of 13 people working in Sweden, Germany and Japan.

Main tasks
In your position as an in-house lawyer you will develop, administer and defend the group's investment in IP rights, with particular focus on further developing our anti-counterfeit programme.You will be working closely with our marketing departments, development departments and other business units within the group.The work will also involve supervising our external legal and IP consultants as well as having contact with authorities and organisations in Sweden and abroad.The work ranges from negotiating agreements, managing IP disputes, providing general advice, the drawing up of instructions and policies to internal training.

The work may at times involve overtime and business travel within Sweden and internationally.

Experience and skills
You have a Swedish or foreign degree in law as well as good academic grades and good general legal knowledge.You have approximately 3-5 years of practical experience as a lawyer at a company, public authority, law firm, IP Office or patent or trademark firm.Husqvarna is active in over 40 countries, so we consider it an advantage if you have worked or studied abroad.

We expect that you have managed your own projects or have been solely responsible for settling disputes or pursuing lawsuits.In your work, you have demonstrated excellent negotiating skills and good business sense.We anticipate that you are an open and communicative person.

You are fluent in English and are also well versed in business and legal English.Skills in other languages (especially Mandarin or Slavic languages) are an advantage.It is imperative that you can express yourself clearly, both verbally and in writing, as complex legal issues must be described in simple terms for laypeople without legal knowledge.

The work requires the ability to make quick decisions without compromising in terms of legal precision and risk optimisation.

You are flexible and able to work with small and large tasks with the same level of enthusiasm.You should have the ability to prioritise your workflow.

As we sometimes work with tight legal deadlines, it is advantageous if you are a calm person who handles stressful situations well.You will be handling sensitive corporate information, so you must have a high degree of integrity.
