The organizational environment

The work environment at Scania’s IT department is international and our employees are representing many different nationalities and countries. The Department Digital Workplace aims to deliver digital workplace services to all internal customers, enabling Scania's colleagues globally to be creative, productive, and collaborative. 

The section Success Services is a part of the Digital Workplace department. It consists of four groups with about 40 persons in total. The group that you would be joining in - ITSM & Business uptime - has the purpose to secure uptime in all Scania's business crucial IT services.

ITSM Business Uptime consists of 9 co-workers today. The vision of the section is to make Scania productive by supporting the co-worker’s productivity into the digital future. With our service-minded and skilled team members our mission is to empower Scania co-workers to reach their full productivity by providing value adding services that align with current and future needs.

Your Responsibilities

As an Incident/Problem Manager you will lead and coordinate high priority incidents/problems affecting Scania’s business and critical systems within the agreed solution time. You will be the central hub assisting the support groups to allocate resources needed to investigate and solve the incident as well as keeping the information flow to stakeholders across the business.

Furthermore, you are expected to challenge existing ways of working being creative in how you test these ideas and add value to Scania in terms of IT Service Management. This role will be responsible to take part in process improvement activities as well.

We believe you can take the lead when needed and have a passion to coordinate and lead incident- & problem management decisions that are affecting business, in a fast-paced environment. You bring enthusiasm, energy, have the skill to understand people's needs and give that little extra effort to support our customers. You are encouraged to support and lead people in a humble but decisive manner. As we work with highly business critical cases, it is important to understand the impact on the business and act accordingly. Furthermore, we believe you;


• 5 years of relevant work experience is minimum.
• Technical background and understanding or interest in technical industries is an advantage.
• Experience in IT Service Management processes and ITIL4 is credited but not essential.
• Hands-on technical or project management skillset is an advantage.
• Good presentation skills and public speaking comes naturally to you.
• Fluent English, both in speech and writing.
