Information Scientist

We are now recruiting Information Scientists for assignments in the Gothenburg area. The position will give you an exciting opportunity to provide frontline scientific information support to a global pharmaceutical research community.

The daily work includes utilizing a wide range of external and internal information resources and analysis tools to provide scientists with decision ready information. The successful candidate will be expected to apply expertise in information retrieval and information analysis, scientific knowledge and informatics techniques, combined with an understanding of the drug discovery process to solve scientific problems.

Qualification:
We are looking for a scientist with an MSc or PhD in chemistry, biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics or equivalent education or experience. Previous experience of information retrieval for scientific purposes is required and documented library or information science skills are advantageous. Excellent IT skills are essential together with a strong understanding of informatics (i.e. the use of computer and informational techniques in a scientific context). Expertise within disease areas like Cardiovascular and Gastrointestinal research, Respiratory and Inflammation and Clinical Research is advantageous. Please state your area of expertise and exemplify your proven IT and information skills in your application. Experience of the pharmaceutical industry is a plus. Excellent Swedish and English is required, both spoken and in writing
