Infotainment System Architect

The role as system architect for our complete infotainment system includes responsibility to deliver an overall infotainment solution to our upcoming vehicle projects. This includes also HW and SW considerations, such as deployment of all main infotainment related logical building blocks. Consideration needs to be taken to already existing solutions and also to cost and timing feasibility. Your delivery will mainly consist of an overall high level system description. This you will defend and push forward into the organization to be the chosen way forward. You will be a part of CEVT’s Infotainment & Driver Information Module Team and report to our module team director. You will be working in close cooperation with function & system responsible, component owners and our electrical architecture team. You will work in a global organization, with regular contact with Asia, mainly China. In this position you will report to the Module Team Director Infotainment & Driver Information.

Responsibilities and tasks
• Setting which ECUs and what main functionality each ECU shall have, within the infotainment system.
• Setting all interfaces between the infotainment ECUs.
• Be the driver of defining infotainment system’s overall strategies, including for example SWDL concept, Over-The-Air concept, audio/video interfaces, antennas, displays etc.
• Specifying/documenting the chosen system architecture in Elektra, by designing the logical architecture design.
• Based on experience propose new technologies and innovations to be introduced.
• Solutions will be developed in close cooperation with system responsible, test engineers, SW responsible and suppliers.

Profile and Background
• Vast experience of automotive embedded systems engineering
• Solid experience of in-vehicle-infotainment system development
• M.Sc. Electrical or Computer Engineering or similar.
• As a person you have a holistic and strategic mindset with the ability to work with long-term and future plans
• You communicate clearly and convincingly
• You have the ability to take decision and deliver according to targets in a changing and growing organisation
• You have a cultural awareness and interest, especially Asian – European culture
• Experience of automotive systems engineering requirement management tools is an advantage.
• Each individual in our team has a high level of initiative, drive, responsibility & also mandate, and is expected to work autonomously.
• Travels to China will be needed (approx. 3-5 per year).
