Who we are
At Research & Development we are responsible for the design and development concepts for early predevelopment phases of Instrument panels, Tunnel Consoles and Cross Car Beams. The work is conducted in line organization and in cross-technical project team in close cooperation with suppliers and in different platforms in cars. Our participation in the development process extend from initial concept and feasibility study phases by the projects and finally to a production introduction.

We are responsible for staffing our projects with both mission leaders and technicians. Key product features, which we continually develop our expertise in, are safety, durability, environmental, styling and HMI (Human Machine Interface). The Instrument panel & Tunnel Console Design group looks for reinforcement in the area of Design Engineer CAD. We belong to Art Cockpit within the Solution In Car Experience.

What you’ll do
As a Cad engineer for the Instrument Panel and Tunnel console, you will be working in the industrialization phase of the project up until production start. Design the components of the system. The work will be carried out together with a team consisting of other design engineers, test and CAE engineers.
You will be part of the design and development team for the Instrument Panel and Tunnel console to reach the technical objectives and secure the deliveries within the given time. The work will require close contact with other areas within R&D and our suppliers/toolmakers.

You will also:
• In Catia V5 make concept and tooling 3D models to meet attributes and demands agreed
  according to VCC standards
• 3DPMI
• Tolerance setting of the parts
• Initiate and assure that corrective actions are carried out when deviations occurs
• Together with the responsible Design Leader, follow the component development time
   plans

Who you are
We believe you have a B.Sc degree of mechanical engineering or equivalent as working experiences. You have at least 3 years’ experience from product development and technical knowledge of Interior engineering & plastic tooling is meritorious. We also appreciate that you have knowledge and experience in automotive design. At least 3 years experiences of Catia V5 and TCe (Team center) experience is an advantage. We also would like that you have an open-minded mind-set, like to take challenges and welcome changes. You can take decisions based on facts and has an ability to prioritize your tasks.

We are looking for a personality that will bring in new ideas, Self-motivated with a strong delivery orientation. High cooperation ability and communication skills. For this position you need to be fluent in spoken and written English. You have a personal energy and drive to perform and support your own development with the aim of running the business successfully.
