We serve as internal consultants and work with equipment from small hand held tools to heavy machinery. Our clients are all divisions within the four Business Areas. Our major brands are Atlas Copco, Chicago Pneumatic and Dynapac.

We are now looking for a creative and self-driven interaction designer that want to join us to create Atlas Copco:s future products, equipment, tools and systems.

About the job
Your most important tasks are going to be:
Interaction design with strong focus on visual design and wire framing
Development of feasible concepts
Creation of low-fi and high-fi experience prototypes
System architectural analysis
Detailed design definition
Support engineering teams during the implementation phase
Project management in interdisciplinary environments

You are also going to work with:
Functional analysis, Product graphics, Re-branding, Development of symbols and creation of safety signs according to current standards, Developing and defining standards and methods for the industry

We utilize traditional design tools (sketch by hand) and industry standard hardware and software tools in our work: Cintiq, Balsamiq, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, MindManager, and presentation tools such as PowerPoint, InDesign and CAD/3D tools such as Keyshot, Rhino and ProEngineer.

An important task is to monitor general trends within interaction design as well as research the efforts of our competition and other manufacturers of heavy equipment and professional tools within the areas of interaction design, usability, etc.

At the Industrial Design Competence Center in Örebro, you are going to have an extensive cooperation with the Group?s engineering, marketing and communication departments as well as external consultancies. You will lead your projects, report to your team leader and work with various scales of projects and platforms in various teams. You will have great responsibility and play a crucial role in bringing the Group?s innovative and trend setting interaction solutions to market.

About you
You have at least a Masters degree as an interaction designer, (Masters of Arts, Masters of Fine Arts or Masters of Design). You constantly seek innovative interaction solutions and have strong visual design skills, complimenting user centric research with your sensitivity towards usability and user experience. You are very proficient in Adobe CS, sketch outstanding both on paper and Cintiq and wireframe your concepts in Balsamiq. Experience of interaction/interface design within vehicle industry, heavy machine industry or business-to-business, service or system design and knowledge of software project management techniques/methods is an advantage.

You are a very creative, driven and goal-oriented self-starter with a strong urge to accomplish results. You have a positive attitude, are pro-active, tend to see solutions and strive for improvements. You are great team player and have the ability to get things done. You are well structured and organized and have a strong sense of ownership, taking responsibility and leading until a successful conclusion. It is required that you are able to negotiate, present and market the Industrial Design Competence Center?s ideas and points-of-view in
