International Graduate Programme

The Volvo Group International Graduate Programme gives you a unique opportunity to gain a holistic view of the Volvo Group and to kick-start your career through international assignments, work in different parts of the organization, networking, and professional and personal development. Upon completion of the programme, you will continue to work in the position you were recruited.

The programme runs for 12 months and includes a combination of common and individual graduate activities and day-to-day work at the home company. It consists of three weeks of common development activities at different locations globally, where the participants meet and network. Common activities in the latest programme took place in Gothenburg, Sweden, Beijing/Shanghai, China and Greensboro, USA.

The programme also includes learning activities in your home organisation and a three months international assignment.

During the programme you will participate in training sessions covering fundamental Group concepts, such as diversity, personal development, project management, cross cultural communication etc.

Volvo Group International Graduate Programme ? Hybrid Product Development

Position:
This is an ultimate position for a graduate who wants to see every corner of Product Development and Purchasing at Volvo Buses and Volvo GTT.

You are expected to go to the main Bus sites and map the different hybrid solutions we have and are developing within VBC. This to build the base for our future electromobilty platform that shall combine market leading technical feature levels with a product offering with a very competitive cost.

Gothenburg will be your base but can also include travelling to Montreal and in Shanghai and possibly also Lyon.

We provide a really interesting start in your career. You will see the world at the same time as you network with managers and directors in all sites. If the job is well performed you are definitely set for a bright future within Volvo Buses.

Overall requirements:
- Master of Science or Business Administration
- Valid work-permit for applied country if not citizen
- Excellent spoken and written English (Additional languages are given merit)
- Maximum of two years previous work-experience after graduation

Additional
- Relevant courses and proven knowledge in the area of product development is a prerequisite.
- Any relevant courses or proven knowledge in specific technology areas is a plus: E.g. Hybrid Systems, Battery technology, Power electrics or electrical control systems
- A successful applicant should be very interested in new technology development and should actively follow new technology development in related areas.
