InternationalProgramme - Telematics Development

The Volvo Group International Graduate Programme gives you a unique opportunity to gain a holistic view of the Volvo Group and to kick-start your career through international assignments, work in different parts of the organization, networking, and professional and personal development. Upon completion of the programme, you will continue to work in the position you were recruited.

The programme runs for 12 months and includes a combination of common and individual graduate activities and day-to-day work at the home company. It consists of three weeks of common development activities at different locations globally, where the participants meet and network. Common activities in the latest programme took place in Gothenburg, Sweden, Beijing/Shanghai, China and Greensboro, USA.

The programme also includes learning activities in your home organisation and a three months international assignment.

During the programme you will participate in training sessions covering fundamental Group concepts, such as diversity, personal development, project management, cross cultural communication etc.

Volvo Group International Graduate Programme - Telematics Development

Position:
Volvo Group Telematics is a group function, hosted in the IT Services organisation, that provides telematics services to Volvo Group and external Car OEM:s globally. Our mission is to connect vehicles and deliver customer value through services and integration. We provide off-board telematics services for the Volvo Group, while on-board telematics is provided by other parts of the Group and by other suppliers for external customers. The external business is run under the world-leading telematics brand, WirelessCar.

You will become part of the Business and Project Management Office function during the graduate programme year. You will be closely involved in the different VGT functions during the programme year to be fully prepared for a professional role within the telematics area after the finished programme. Regardless of the new role you will be fully responsible for planning, organizing, reporting and follow up of the area in focus

The initial year will provide an excellent first step to learn the Telematics operation and business. You will then have the possibility to grow you leadership experiences and abilities in a suitable role in Volvo Group Telematics. The development direction will very much depend on your own strengths, capabilities and desire, but of course also in line with the needs of the organisation.

Overall requirements:
Valid work-permit for applied country if not citizen
Excellent spoken and written English (Additional languages are given merit)
Maximum of two years previous work-experience after graduation
Education on Master degree level

Education and possible specialization:
Technology Management and Economics with specialization in IT
Computer Science with specialization in Management
