Junior Business Technology Specialist

Our client is a specialist in emerging and frontier markets. The company, founded in 1997, bases its investment strategy on thorough knowledge of the markets, fundamental analysis and frequent company visits by its investment teams. They invests in public equity, private equity and real estate. Our client is headquartered in Stockholm, with offices in Hong Kong, Kiev, Luxembourg, Moscow, Oslo, Paris and Tallinn.

The role
As a Business Technology Specialist you will assist in end-to-end delivery of business technology. You will be working in a team of experienced technology professionals in similar roles. The team?s responsibilities involve day to day operations of business critical technology, integration flows and business reporting. Some of the challenges you will face are technical and you will need to acquire an in-depth knowledge in a range of technologies. Other challenges are closely business related and you will need to apply a detailed understanding of the business.

You will initially be focusing on integrations and business reporting solutions which will help you develop an excellent understanding of SQL and middleware technologies.

Main tasks:
- Develop and provide support on business systems and data transformation processes utilizing database and integration tools primarily leveraging Microsoft SQL Server.
- Interact with end-users regarding system and data requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve production errors and performance issues

Knowledge criteria
We are looking for a structured and professional person with an academic degree in computer science or business administration. Knowledge in one or more of the following technologies is required; Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Reporting Services, SQL Integration Services, Microsoft Biztalk, Qlikview and .NET/C#.

To be successful in this role we believe that you are organized and systematic and that you are eager to learn about the asset management business. You are good at prioritizing and we believe that you have a results-oriented, problem solving mindset as well as a communicative approach. Fluency in Swedish and English is a necessity.
