Facilitator, Millennium Development Goals Awareness Project Background and Scope of Work Swedish Committee for Afghanistan (SCA) - is a major Swedish NGO with 25 years of experience from opinion work in Sweden and from carrying out activities/projects in Afghanistan where it is considered as a very important player, especially in the education field.In Sweden SCA works as a member driven association based on popular commitment and support, making effort to affect the public opinion by providing knowledgeable and reliable information about Afghanistan in order to increase sustainable cooperation and assistance in a spirit of solidarity.Since 2006 SCA has been the Lead Partner of a Consortium with the British Charity Organization Afghan Connection (AC) in an EC funded project where 49 Afghan schools have twinning co-operation with their partner schools in Sweden and England.The project has been quite successful but is to be terminated after its three year period by the end of February 2009. The new Millennium Development Goals (MDG) Awareness Project aims at raising awareness and understanding and to boost the life-long commitment amongst European citizens concerning the global issues in general.One major component of the project is the Twin School relation/co-operation between the schools in Afghanistan and their partner schools in the four European countries Entry Requirements Qualifications: University Degree in management, education, social or political science, communication, culture or equivalent documented qualifications and experience.Experience: Professional profile and experience from education sector and/or project management within a developmental context (e.g.awareness-raising, mobilisation, information) Others: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Good supervisory, leadership, planning, analytical and troubleshooting skills Experience from working in a multi-partner set-up.Team worker Ability to cope with a stressful environment.
