The group Brake & Vehicle Dynamics Software and Electronics are one group of three at the section Brakes, Controls, Wheels & Tires within Vehicle Control & Chassis - Volvo Car Group´s Research and Development (R&D) division. Vehicle Control & Chassis are responsible for initiating and drive Research and Development of Chassis Systems, Safety Functions and Electronics as well as Vehicle Dynamics Attributes on all Volvo Car Groups cars Page Content. Trough passionate and innovative coworkers we create chassi systems and integrated safety systems that make us leading within Driving Dynamics and Active safety. The group Brake & Vehicle Dynamics SW and Electronics are responsible to realize brake and dynamic function in the vehicle in all vehicle programs and over the entire life cycle. The group is responsible for function realization, system design, hardware development and software development of e.g Brake -functions, -switches and sensors.

As Lead Engineer you are expected to be involved in Brake Electronics System deliveries during all phases from concept to aftermarket. The Lead Engineer is responsible for managing and overseeing the total project content. You will have cross functional responsibility together with purchase and manufacturing. The work is done with a lot of cooperation with our suppliers.

Main responsibilities

* Cross functional responsible for deliveries
* Follow up on project milestones
* Report project targets, commitments, status and forecasts
* Monitor and update time plans
* Be a part of technical reviews
* Weekly project meetings with Senior Engineers and Design Engineers

Required qualifications

* Technical university degree
* At least 5 years' experience in project management, preferably within the automotive industry
* Ability to communicate on many different levels and understand complex technical problems
* Knowledge of Embedded System
* An asset would be good knowledge in Volvo Car Group system: KDP, PIE, VPDS, SWI, VQDC, SWJR
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Drivers license (B-level)
* Knowledge of Safety requirements, System Safety ISO 26262 within the automotive industry will be meritorious
