We are now looking for a Lead Engineer for Interior Lighting / Attribute leader for Convenience lighting!

 

Description

You will be part of the Engineering Team within Interior Development, with your primary responsibility for Interior Lighting. As a Lead Engineer, you will collaborate internally with other engineers and technical specialists and externally with suppliers and is involved in all phases of a car project. You will also work close to Purchasing, Styling, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering etc.

 

The role as Lead Engineer Interior Lighting involves:

- Leading the development of Interior Lighting on system and component level
- Responsibility for the Attribute “Convenience lighting”.
- Establishing system requirements
- Responsibility for system /part planning
- Establishing and maintaining best practice design solutions
- Responsibility for the development and maintenance of verification and validation methodologies and procedures that concern interior lighting
- Identifying opportunities and implement changes to improve products or processes and reduce cost
- Leading technical communication with suppliers through the complete product development lifecycle
- Establishing and maintaining internal and external networks with interior lighting expertise
- Leading/Participating in analysis of designs such as FMEA, FTA etc.
- Support mentoring and training activities.
- Responsibility for future system strategies.

 

We are looking for someone who:

- Has minimum education of a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Has a passion for lighting and is creative and open to new ideas in the field.
- Has minimum 10 years’ experience and a thorough, knowledge and understanding of vehicle lighting systems
- Is fluent in English both spoken and written.
- Has driver’s license B

- Have good communication skills
- Have automotive industry knowledge
- Be adaptable in the interaction with different persons, groups and culture.
- Take responsibility for quality of own deliveries
