As a Lead Incident Engineer your main responsibility is to ensure that the incidents reported by customers must be handled efficiently and issue can be identified to meet requirements. You will work closely with our customers, for example product stakeholders, enterprise architects and suppliers where you need the ability both to understand the incident as well as explain what impact a technical resolution will have on the customer’s product.

In short, in this role your IT technologies and communication skills are essential, and it is expected that you are used to manage many stakeholders simultaneously to drive the incident resolution effectively.

Responsibilities
• Take charge of incident investigations, identifying bugs, implementing workarounds or quick fixes, and collaborating with SRE or the 3rd Line Development Team.
• Keep track of bug statuses and update them in the ticket system.
• Prepare failure reports and communicate with the 1st Line Support Team.
• Ensure compliance with SLA KPIs 1, 2, and 3, specifically in the context of failure report management.
• Provide assistance to other incident managers.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years’ experience on system development and solution of cloud systems, preferably in large/complex organizations. You understand architectural problems and define efficient resolutions.
• Possess valuable development experience conducive to the identification of technical issues.
• Strong inter-personal skills and you find it easy to interact with people on different organizational levels. You communicate effectively and are able to explain complex incident matters with proper resolutions.
• Team player with good co-operation skills. You possess self-leadership and are able to work round obstacles to achieve results.
• Good documentation skills, including the ability to create clear and comprehensive written content, ensuring accurate record-keeping and effective communication of work-related information.
• Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese. Fluency in Chinese is essential for this role, as our primary clientele is connected to Chinese business.
