We are now looking for five Lead Mechanical Design Engineers

Description

The Mechanical Design Team that you will be part of, is part of an organization responsible for Design, Styling, Mechanical Integration and Technical Documentation, within Nevs Technical Development. The Mechanical Design organization is responsible for the Design of all components in the vehicle. The Mechanical Design Department consists of 5 Teams:

- Sheet metal
- Frames- Mounts/Machined parts & standard
- Electrical/Electronics & Lightning
- Carpets- Insulation- Hoses & Seals
- Plastic- Composite- & Glass Areas
You will lead a team of mechanical design engineers on a daily basis, working primarily with other design engineers and collaborates internally with Project Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Technical specialists’ and Aftermarket etc. We also participate in international projects and your position will complement existing skills and resources. You will report to the Manager Mechanical Design.

The role as Lead Mechanical Design Engineer involves:

- Responsibility to distribute the work within the team
- To drive the design work
- Supporting the planning for mentoring and training activities
- To generate detailed design solutions
- To be a part of the daily interface work and agree on interfaces
- To contribute with design input in all needed Integration work
- Incorporating all Lessons Learned into the design solutions
- Responsibility for the quality of the design, check it before it is released
- Anchoring decisions, development and status with the responsible line management

We are looking for someone who has:

- University engineering education Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience in concept engineering
- Experience in Cad modelling/Drawings in NX & Teamcenter
- English, both spoken and written

- Open minded for learning new knowledge and sharing own knowledge.
- Good communication skills, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to plan and prioritize
- Responsibility for the quality of your own deliveries

Terms

National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB is a member of the Engineering Industries and covered by current Collective bargaining agreement signed by Unionen / Sveriges Ingenjörer / Ledarna.
