As the Lean and Strategy Manager your main target is to support customer success by continuously improve our End-to-End performance. This requires a customer-, and people centric approach as well as a systematic way of applying lean principles in the business. Each value chain, from customer requirements to customer delivery, involves many activities performed by different functions inside Volvo Buses, as well as external stakeholders. Therefore the key element for the Lean and Strategy Manager is to be strategic at an operational level.

Main Activities and Responsibilities
Continue to develop our plant in putting our customer and market needs in center of everything we do
Lead and practice Volvo Buses change program Lean@Buses
Coach leaders to become true Lean leaders. Leaders focusing on setting clear direction (where are we going, and why?) ensuring that ownership of work is allocated to people who are close to where the real customer value is created
Support the knowledge and understanding of continuous improvement techniques and help leaders cascade this approach to their teams to develop a proactive continuous improvement culture
Support and facilitate plant management team in developing strategic objectives and create a clear sense of direction and focus
Initiate and participate in shop floor activities such as kaizen events, QRQC, 5S etc.
Promote sharing of best practices, benchmarking between plants and other areas

Required Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering
Broad understanding and experience from working with Lean manufacturing
Experience in Lean tools and management
Proven leadership and coaching skills regarding change management.
Very good communication skills to reach others with new perspectives and ideas
Excellent interpersonal relation capabilities at all levels of the organization
