Who we are
We deliver Volvo Cars SW deployment technologies including over the air update solutions, inhouse developed vehicle platform services, start and electrical energy management within our vehicles. Cyber security solutions including processes and new wired communications such as automotive ethernet. Complete vehicle diagnostic and data collection solutions. We also develop a vehicle configuration solution, usage authorization of the car, tester communication and diagnostic client connection solutions.

What will you do
The Legal Analyst is a servant leader with the specific focus to support compliance obligations work on ART/Attribute level to increase speed, flow and robustness throughout the complete lifetime of our products and offers. You will also have a leading technical position as System Architect in the center of Volvo Cars exciting development of a new electrical architecture for electrification, autonomous drive, and connectivity. 
The role is responsible for running and coordinating compliance work within the assigned Compliance Area. This includes reviewing and commenting on proposed new Regulations and Regulation/Standard/Requirement updates. Additionally, it entails breaking down legal requirements and distributing them to the applicable areas, as well as following up on requirement implementation.
Moreover, the position requires providing support for judgment on implemented solutions with respect to compliance and signing off on regulations after sharing information with the responsible Team/Attribute. The incumbent must ensure that compliance obligation requirements in relevant areas are fully understood.
Furthermore, the role involves supporting the department's strategic work by proactively analyzing and estimating the marginal requirements needed for compliance, targeting to secure compliance over time. It also involves supporting department leaders in taking necessary actions for compliance fulfillment (e.g., through escalation) by reviewing the progress of the compliance maturity within their area, based on related KPIs & targets.
Additionally, the role involves ongoing participation in Aftermarket and Quality actions related to compliance issues, along with acting as a compliance ambassador within their compliance area. The responsibilities include legal requirement breakdown and distribution to applicable areas and continuous follow-up on requirement implementation, along with providing support for judgment on implemented solutions with respect to compliance.

Who you are?
To succeed in this role, it is most important that you are a curious quick learner who enjoys diving into new things. As you will collaborate with many different people cross our company, we expect that you have great collaboration and communication skills, are fluent in English both verbal and written, and enjoy working in a team. Since this is a senior engineering position you are expected to have leadership skills and personal interest to further develop them.
 Furthermore, you have a MSc education in software engineering, data technology, electronics or similar and + 7 years of relevant working experience (e.g legislated vehicle onboard diagnostics, data communication, SW development, electronics, wired communication technologies). Software architecture skills are meritorious.
