Legal Counsel

Floatel International AB is a Swedish management company established in 2006. The company operates two semi-submersible accommodation vessels, one in Norway and one in Brazil. Three additional vessels are currently under construction in Singapore. These vessels are already committed for operations in the US, UK and Australia.
Floatel International AB is a part of the Floatel group of companies with entities incorporated in Bermuda, the Netherlands, Brazil and Sweden.
The company is now increasing the legal department and seeking a Legal Counsel to its office in Mölndal, Sweden.

As Legal Counsel you assist in negotiations and review of future charter contracts and administer and advise on current contracts and commitments.
You are responsible for the corporate administration of the companies within the Floatel group, which includes a broad range of tasks such as coordinating legal matters, preparing resolutions, assisting at board meetings and ensuring compliance with applicable legislations in jurisdictions where the group operates. At larger transactions you play a central role in coordinating external law firms and advisors as appropriate. You will work closely with management and report directly to the General Counsel.

You are a pro-active person with a talent to predict and plan for events before they occur. You keep a stable and steady course with a good speed in your day-to-day work. It is important that you can keep deadlines and that the quality of the work is kept high also during periods of high work load. The position requires an organized and structured person who has the ability to work on his/her own but with a focus to assist the corporate teams. Excellent command in English is a requirement since this is the group corporate language. It is an advantage if you are familiar with the maritime industry, but it is not a requirement. You have one or two years? experience from working in a similar position or at a law firm or insurance company and you hold an LLM degree.

The position as Legal Counsel is permanent and full time at the office in Mölndal. Some travelling may be required. The starting date is to be discussed, but preferably November 2013.
