Would you like to be in the centre of an exciting environment where sustainability is at the core!? We are now looking for a Life Cycle Assessment Specialist.
About the position
As LCA Specialist you will be part of our sustainability team and develop a knowledge base for our products´ life cycle footprint as well as establish methods and systems to secure and maintain information quality over time. Monitoring of our products´ environmental footprint and improvement of product sustainability are important parts of Höganäs´ambitous sustainability agenda. 

You will be responsible for driving our work to develop and provide LCAs for internal and external stakeholders based on the LCA methodology and to develop common standards, tools and methods to support the business.

Your responsibilities:


• Support our product areas with product specific climate footprint calculations, update LCA’s as improvements are being made, and document results
• Respond to data requests from customers and suppliers, and participate in the preparation of third-party certified product declarations
• Support the purchasing function in the selection of sustainable raw materials and energy
• Provide input for both Höganäs’ operations and product areas for identification of areas where improvements are needed
• Support product-, and process development projects, and investment projects, in providing LCA’s where needed
• Monitor and update the software and databases used for LCA’s
• Continuously develop and refine methods and ways of working

This position is centrally located at Höganäs headquarters in Höganäs, Sweden, with international and cross-functional contacts within Höganäs Group, and with external stakeholders.

Your profile

• A university degree on a master level in environmental science, engineering or equivalent, where LCA methods and tools are part.
• Good knowledge of LCA standards, software (preferably GaBi), and databases and climate reporting standards (GHG Protocol, SBTi etc.) and LCA standards.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Swedish is a plus.
• As a person you have a strong inner drive to perform your tasks individually but at the same time you are a strong team player. You are analytic and own the ability to focus on details. Your communication skills are good and communicate without hindrance on an international level. You are dedicated to sustainability improvements and you can put detailed analysis results in a broader sustainability context.
