Our Logistics function is in an exciting phase with further developments ahead. We are now taking the next steps to strengthen the focus on continuous improvements, drive change and increase efficiencies in our logistics services within Nordics.

Our site just outside of Malmö is one of the largest plants in the Nordics where we develop, manufacture and sell paint and coatings. Over 50 million liters of paints are produced annually and about 500 employees are based at the site and works to meet our customers' demands for high quality products and services. At the site the two biggest employers are; Akzo Nobel Industrial Coatings, where the focus is on paint, varnish and stain systems for wood and metal coatings. For wooden products like windows, doors, cabinets, floors and furniture for customers like IKEA, Montana, Kärscher and Tarkett. Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings develops, produces and sells paint with a focus on innovation and sustainability to consumer and customers via the well-known brands Nordsjö, Sadolin, Hammerite and Cuprinol.

What you will do?
In the role as Logistics Improvement Manager you will continually seek improvements and cost savings within Logistics function in Nordics. The scope is both finished goods warehouseing and outbound transportation. You will lead the development of the improvement programes, cost reduction projects and continous improvement mindset within logistics.

Your main areas of responsibilities are:
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost and improve the service levels
• Drive, implement and sustain improvements projects within the sites
• Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control processes critical to logistics
• Regular analysis and KPI reporting related to cost and service metrics
• Lead the deployment and developlement of ALPs (AkzoNobel Leading Performance programe)
• Maintain full oversight and stewardship of current savings projects & pipeline.
• Support execution and implementation of corporate logistics projects in Nordics

In order to be able to be succesfull and deliver on above responsibilties you need to work closely with Site Logistics Managers and european Logistics teams as well as cooperate with internal departments such as Sales, Manufacturing, Finance and Quality.

This position will be located in Malmö, but you will work in a Nordic arena, mainly Sweden. You will travel around 10-20% of your time.


Who you are?
We believe that you are a person with a strong drive and experience working within the logistics envirionment. You have good continous improvement theoretical, understanding and implementation experience. You have strong people- and stakeholder management skills as well as you are analytical and structured in your way of working and have the flexibility to handle multiple and complex tasks. Of course you are abel to work alone and to contribute to the team as well. You have proven project magagement background with strong ability to obtain project input and promote support from many different stakeholders.

Excel skills are to advanced level and benefit with experience from SAP. You have a BS Degree in Engineering, Business/Economics, Logistics or equal. For this position it´s required that you are fluent both in Swedish and English, both written and verbally.
