The role Logistics IT Engineer is located in the function Logistics Strategy & IT within the Inbound Logistics organisation (IBL). As a member of the Logistics Strategy & IT team the role will contribute to the availability, support and development of some of the core processes at Volvo Cars. In addition to driving the physical transport processes and supporting the central and local logistics operations teams, the in-house Transport Management Systems support key sales and financial processes. The role is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Main responsibilities
· Implement and maintain the logistics network and route documentation in the Transport Management Systems
· Support and drive implementation with new carriers both on EDI and purchasing contracts level
· Build and hold technical relations with existing carriers
· Maintain the master file for all events to be triggered during a complete transport
· Support Volvo Cars IT with the incident process
· Manage order rejections and corrections as well as re-triggering of orders when necessary
· Understand logistics systems infrastructure and be able to work with the stakeholders representing the different systems involved in the logistics solutions.
· Manage change requests and drive smaller improvement projects
· Develop and maintain training material and documentation
· Coordinate User Acceptance Testing within the business and together with Volvo Cars IT
· Propose improvements and minor enhancements as well as configuration changes
· To ensure the Logistics IT operational processes are managed in the most efficient way
· Administrate the Transport Management System super user group
· Coordinate and support user training activities
· Represent and drive Volvo Car Group interests within the competence area

Required qualifications
· Proven ability to in a structured manner understand and solve IT related configuration problems
· Ability to investigate and understand the details of a transport order and all related systems involved in the transport process
· Working knowledge of transport/carrier operations, transport concepts and distribution methods is a preferred but not mandatory
· Experience of working with EDI together with trading partners
· Working experience of a transport management system or other equivalent logistics system
· General understanding of system integration and related technologies
· Fluent in English
