Arbetsbeskrivning
Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions is on an exciting growth journey, building the new digital era of manufacturing. We have the know-how and innovative mindset to develop ideas into pioneering tech solutions. Adding your strategic mind and customer centric outlook, we’re ready to lead this work, raise the bar higher, and enforce our position as top industrial player for digital manufacturing solutions.
Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions (SMF) is a business area segment within Sandvik Group with around 1,500 people worldwide incorporating the three divisions of Design & Planning Automation, Additive Manufacturing and Metrology. Our ambition is to grow the business to 6 billion SEK until 2025 through organic and acquisitional growth.
Right now, we’re looking for a resourceful M&A Manager to join us in accelerating our M&A activities and bringing top quality across our processes – from start to finish! This is a great chance for a networking and dynamic doer with a confident mind, to enter a global company with endless possibilities for a long-term career. Are you eager to influence development of our business and engage in setting the M&A agenda, project management, financial analysis and M&A execution? Then this is a job for you!
The job
You’re a key player in our growth agenda, and you hands-on support us in identifying, analyzing and evaluating possible targets, as well as advise on what initiatives and themes we should prioritize to keep momentum and quality in our development plans. You ensure success throughout the entire M&A process - from sourcing, due diligence, target setting, negotiation, deal closing and follow up - and you put the spotlight on revenue, profitability and tactical performance. You also serve as a significant expert when discussing and handling financial modeling, accounting, deal structuring and valuation.
Collaborating with our business management and with functional experts, and dealing with executives, advisors and various key stakeholders, you ensure a comprehensive and speedy approach for each agreement - including oversight of workstreams and tasks - to achieve the best results. You engage our division presidents and management teams, and you prepare material for CEO and Board to support the execution of our M&A agenda. Your understanding of strategic objectives and the ability to collect information and draw conclusions, provide us with an early voice on success factors and risks that contribute to or affect our M&A best practices.
In this position, you report to the Head of M&A for Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions and actively contribute in SMF Strategy and M&A management team. Our headquarters are at brand new offices in ‘Gasverket’ in central Stockholm, and this is also where you most likely will be based. Global travel is a natural part of the job.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a commercial business outlook and broad experience from working in roles closely connected to M&As and business growth agendas. You have a strong M&A toolbox and a track record of successfully leading projects for the full lifecycle of M&As – all the way from deal sourcing to execution – your previous career include extensive knowledge and solid experience from private equity, investment banking, corporate M&A or similar. Any knowledge of the software or digital manufacturing industry is of course beneficial, and we value a relevant degree within Business Management, Finance or other relevant field.
You’re used to working in a dynamic setting, and you comfortably manage a large number of internal and external stakeholders. We operate worldwide, and you must be both aware and open-minded towards the cultural differences you encounter. This also means that you need great communication skills and that you’re fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
You’re investigative, collaborative and flexible, and you combine this with a strategic outlook and the ability to promptly take action. You’re know for balancing independency with teamwork, and by networking and communicating with stakeholders at all levels, inspiring change and following up on our work, you make sure we reach profitable results. You stay calm and structured at all times, and you’re very confident and clear as you support our growth agenda by resourcefully uncovering and considering information, making smart recommendations and challenging us to look at different perspectives.
Our culture
We’re tech driven, innovative and entrepreneurial, and we believe that success is a team effort so we value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive culture where people can be themselves and reach their full potential. We also give you the freedom to find that perfect mix between work, family life and interests. Visit our stories hub, LinkedIn or Facebook to get to know us further.
