Maintenance Engineer to AkzoNobel in Alby

AkzoNobel Pulp and Performance Chemicals is a leading global force in pulp bleaching technologies, colloidal silica and expandable microspheres. We provide innovative and sustainable products and technologies that are widely used by customers in a large variety of industrial applications. Bleaching Chemicals is one of three global sub business units within AkzoNobel Pulp and Performance Chemicals. We are the world's largest manufacturer of sodium chlorate and one of the largest producers of hydrogen peroxide. We supply essential chemicals to the global pulp industry and other selected industries from 24 locations worldwide.
Both Sodium Chlorate and Hydrogen Peroxide are produced at the Alby site, which is located just outside Ånge in Västernorrland. Around 100 people are employed in Alby.

We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer with a good understanding of operating and maintaining low, medium and high voltage electrical installations. In this role you will also act as the site?s qualified electrician (allmänbehörighet låg- och högspänning).

Key responsibities
As the electrical engineer you need to maintain and improve the electrical installations ranging from power supply to the offices to the incoming 70 kV switch gear in order to achieve worldclass reliability of the plant. You are responsible for the compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and standards and you will play an important role in the ongoing and planned improvement projects on the site.
- Fault-finding including establishing root cause and carrying out remedial repairs
- Compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards
- Conducting power supply studies
- Maintaining and updating construction documents, specifications, etc.
- Completing maintenance according to the preventive maintenance schedule and recommend changes when necessary
- Determine the yearly maintenance budget for your cost center.
- Providing technical expertise and training support from your field of expertise.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineeringor equivalent.
- Qualification from Swedish authorities (AB from elsäkerhetsverket)
- Several years of maintenance or plant engineering experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment

As a person you are skilled at organizing, prioritizing and coordinating the work (experience with project management is preferred). You take ownership for the installation and are engaged in achieving high reliablity of the plant. You are a communicative and collaborative cross-functional team player who is motivated by achieving results.
