Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
Incumbent supervises 8 employees who are involved in the maintenance and repair to buildings, grounds and related equipment of the Embassy, associated agencies and leased quarters.Incumbent is required to be versed in at least two technical areas of responsibility.

1.Supervises in-house and, on occasion, contract maintenance personnel involved in buildings, grounds and related equipment maintenance and repair functions.Responsible for inventory and issue of tools and equipment used by maintenance personnel and for requesting replacements as needed.

2.Develops preventive maintenance schedules for all government-owned and leased properties and estimates costs that are applied to the annual Foreign Building Office budget request.

3.Ensures that timely deliveries of heating fuel are made for the chancery, government-owned and government-leased properties.

4.Oversees work orders assigned for action by the Maintenance Unit.Ensures that the appropriate action is taken, informing requestor when request cannot be completed within the allotted time frame.Enters data on completed service request into the computer system.

5.Maintains file of all maintenance and service contracts, reviewing annually for revision and accuracy.Ensures that contractor fulfills terms of contract and advising GSO regarding renewals or other alternatives.

6.Acts as Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) for maintenance, service or construction contracts.

7.As sub-cashier, maintains petty cash for small purchases.

Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
Two to three years of supervisor experience and the ability to supervise the work of others Good knowledge as a journeyman of established practices and procedures in heating plant operations and a general knowledge of other trades associated with building maintenance.Ability to use the tools of the areas electrical, carpentry pluming and general maintenance.

Demonstrate ability to use computers including MSExel and MSWord: experience with computer aided work scheduling programs and CAD is desired.

Satisfactory completion of secondary schooling.Refresher courses in subjects relating to building trades are desired.

Four years of progressively responsible journeyman mechanic experience in 2 areas of the building trades or related field or four years of master level experience in one area of the building trades or related field.

Good knowledge in spoken and written English and Swedish.
Swedish driver's license.
