Manager System Design Ground Segment and Cross Functions

Your role

As a Manager of System Design you will be Design Responsible for Ground Segments and Cross Function as part of our product portfolio.

You will lead and coach a group of 12 experienced system engineers towards common strategic goals, and develop common tools and adopt processes, such as the Integrated Product Creation (IPC), to support and facilitate their work. You will promote creativity, new ideas, business thinking and cooperation.



As a manager of System Design Ground Segment and Cross Function, you will be a natural part of the System Design Leadership Team with individual areas of responsibility but also take part in other groups' challenges. Your individual experiences and strengths will contribute to create an engaging, including work environment in line with our vision to strengthen our employees, and increasing the level of self-governance in our teams.

As a manager within System Design you will also contribute to the overall development of Mission System and C2 as well as close cooperation with other groups within the BU AEW, as well as with the Engineering, Strategic Purchasing and the Marketing and Sales departments.

You hold at least a bachelor degree in a technical field or have equivalent work experience and have great interest in technology and a desire to continuously evolve our products and improve customer satisfaction.

You are a coaching leader who actively build relationships within and across the organization. Your communicative skills and ability to share knowledge, inspire, motivate and empower the organization will be of outmost importance.

You are available for international business travel and are fluent in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

Mission System and C2 has global responsibility for Saab's Airborne Early Warning and Command (AEW&C) Systems including other ISR solutions. It has offices around the world, with the largest site being Gothenburg (SE). Mission System and C2 has around 110 employees, whereof 40 is working at System Design.
