Sandvik Materials Technology is currently implementing SMT Business System, which is one of the most extensive change programs ever.Within manufacturing, the purpose is to establish operational excellence by implementing SMT Manufacturing System, which is based on Lean principles. To achieve this, we are looking for change-orientated professionals who are passionate about working with people to establish a culture of continuous improvements. Key performance areas As a navigator you will support the improvements of Sandvik Materials Technology?s manufacturing processes worldwide.You will work in a project team including navigators as well as line representatives, supporting the organization in designing and implementing the SMT Manufacturing System.You will further develop your leadership qualities together with core knowledge in Lean Manufacturing.We offer successful candidates an extensive training program and an international career opportunity.The navigator team is strategically positioned, reporting directly to the SMT management team. Your profile The ideal candidate has a University degree in a relevant area with a background from management within production, maintenance and logistics.You are experienced, but still a learner with the commitment to become an even better teacher and coach.You have excellent people and co-ordination skills and you interact effectively at all levels in the organization.The successful candidate must have confidence, drive, enthusiasm, good communication skills and a credible personality.You are creative and have excellent problem solving skills and can ?think on your feet?. Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and verbal, is desired. Annual sales 2009 were about SEK 15,300 M with 8,200 employees.The product areas comprises Tube, Strip, Kanthal, Process Systems and MedTech.
