Marine Operations Coordinator

Our Nordic & Baltic head office is placed in Gothenburg. We are looking for a person to our vessel operations department due to expansion of our network.Preferred are people with marine background and/or vessel knowledge, but a general interest in shipping is also qualifying.Any experience within container shipping is valued. The work will consist of having daily contacts with ports, vessels, feeder operators etc and act as a support function for our in-house organization.Some areas in your responsibility would be following: - Scheduling of vessels - Stevedoring contacts - Cost control in SAP - Process development - Productivity improvement - Terminal Services - Purchase and control of 3rd party services (feedering, vessel husbandry etc.You should have high skills in the English language, both written and verbal, and be prepared to work in a fast changing international environment with people from various cultural backgrounds.Proficient in any other Nordic and/or Baltic language is an advantage. Experienced user of MS Office applications and interest in IT solutions is qualifying as well as being able to take initiative and quick decisions.Applicants should be prepared for flexible working hours as well as having an after office duty.You will from time to time work with tight deadlines and a high pressure wherefore it is required that you are able to work in a structured and calm way during situations with heavy workload.
