Materials & Chemistry Centre (MACC) is an independent department within Alfa Laval working exclusively with materials and chemistry related questions. We act globally and support other functions within Alfa Laval e.g. development,  production, sales and purchasing. Because of this, we can offer you an interesting position in a dynamic organization.

As a material specialist you will work with metallic materials for Alfa Laval products. The position is based in Lund and your main focus will be material issues related to compact plate heat exchangers. You will have frequent contact with other functions within Alfa Laval, e.g. market segments, R&D and production.

Typical tasks for the position will be:
• Failure investigations, leak identification and material analysis of products 
• Material tests and weld evaluations
• Material advice and market support
• Project work with focus on material related development mainly within the welding and forming competence area.
• Production support – welding and forming

You will work in a team with 16 highly competent material specialists and laboratory engineers.

Qualifications
We expect you to have University degree in Metallurgy or Material science with focus on metallic materials. Knowledge of metallurgical and metallographical material evaluations is a must. Experience and competence of welding and forming is an advantage.
