Medical Director

The Medical Director position is one of key importance for BioInvent. BioInvent is in the process of developing a portfolio of clinical and preclinical projects to treat cancer and inflammatory diseases, including BI-505 (anti-ICAM-1), as well as set of earlier stage research programs. It is BioInvent s strategy that oncology and inflammatory diseases are going to be part of the core business of the company; therefore the need for this position. The primary objectives for this position are to lead and continuously enhance and strengthen the company's medical activities, within the field of oncology and inflammatory disease, and to ensure that BioInvent reaches the full potential of its key current and future research areas. As Medical Director you will be part of an informal and creative medical team where your primary task will be to ensure the medical and scientific content of our clinical development programmes. You will initially get full medical responsibility for the clinical development of BI-505 for the treatment of multiple myeloma. Furthermore the Medical Director will together with the BioInvent Clinical Research Organisation be responsible for the ongoing trial with BI-505 for treatment of multiple myeloma and coming phase II-III trials. Key responsibilities include: * Plan and develop clinical development plans and protocols and implement, conduct and report clinical studies in your area of responsibility. * Work to ensure that clinical studies are executed in Europe and the US and as a Department support to CRO teams in recruiting and managing sites. * Answer to internal and external medical and scientific issues. * Write relevant sections of the investigator's brochure, regulatory applications and reports. * Function as medical monitor in clinical studies. * Participate in meetings with investigators and authorities in Europe and America. * Cooperation with BioInvent's Research group. * Position new products; among other things set up Scientific Advisory Boards for these products. Key objectives for the new Medical Director include: From a performance perspective: * Be active in driving activities that underpin the Medical Departments business focus, sustain overall professional medical support and guidance across BioInvent. * Provide solid input to overall clinical research to ensure an optimal usage of BioInvent's resources. * Provide creativity, insight, and analytical skills to help select and drive activities across those product areas that will lead to best market performance. From an organisational learning perspective: * Ensure that the organisations' general awareness level and understanding of the key therapeutic field are up-to-date through effective training of colleagues and a solid knowledge sharing effort. * Regularly share insights and understandings of new international developments across the organisation.
