Our department, Engineering Methods & Processes, has the mission to develop, supply and support the global organization with methodology, methods & tools to create world-class products. The goal is to gain further synergies and operational excellence in a truly global R&D organization and meet the increasing need for data related to our products. We are now strengthening our team with additional resources and competences in order to efficiently implement a common global way of working, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and further development of our automation platform. In focus is the success of Sandvik Coromant strategy.

Key performance areas
The CAD Method department supports product development of cutting tools in a global organization. You will be involved in improving the efficiency of processes from development to production. The aim is to develop, implement and support methods and tools for an efficient product development process which enables automation and ensures recycling of the design module knowledge. Developed methods and tools are introduced to the business by conducting training and workshops.

Key competencies for you as a CAD Method Developer are profound knowledge of our CAD system NX and a good understanding of product development methods and tools. You will use your skills to deliver structured and documented methods that fulfill the needs of our stakeholders. You will be in close contact with product development and production.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a BSc or MSc in Engineering, with a focus on mechanical engineering, or who has acquired the equivalent knowledge in another manner. Experience from product development, product life cycle management and/or CAD/CAM/CAE operations are advantageous. Good English skills, both verbal and in writing, are also required.

As a person you are a service-minded and quality-conscious problem solver interested in improving working methods and making them more efficient. You have strong cooperative skills and the ability to build and maintain networks. As the work involves considerable contact with diverse parties, you must be communicative and able to share your knowledge with others effectively.
