Module Team Director – Seats & Restraint Systems

We are looking for a dedicated Director to lead our Module Team for Seats & Restraint Systems. You will be responsible line manager with the assignment to lead and develop the team. As Module Team Director you will report to Vice President Interior. This role gives you an opportunity to work within a fast growing global engineering organization and you will be overall responsible for the development of systems and components of your area in a cross functional team. You will play a key role to reach project targets for the module team and for Interior to achieve its overall mission. The members in the module team are System Managers, System Engineers and Design Engineers.

The position is based in Gothenburg but with a Global responsibility cross Sweden and China

Responsibilities and tasks

- Manage and develop the Module Team
- Lead the Module Team globally as responsible line manager
- Run global Module Team meetings
- Lead the development of concept and system solutions towards the different projects for all systems and components within the module team
- Secure long-term needed competence, capacity and working processes within your area.
- Appoint Module Project Leaders for assigned projects
- Execute releases and change management within your responsibility
- Secure project target fulfillment
- Secure maximum commonality across different projects

Requirements

- BSc. or M.Sc. in engineering
- Minimum 10 years’ experience of Automotive engineering
- Relevant engineering experience of Seats and restraint systems
- Experience of leading Engineering teams, either in a line or a project role.
- Excellent leadership Strong communication skills (verbal, written and listening) 
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to encourage and manage employees with a multicultural background
- Experience of project management
- Knowledge about trends and applicability of new technologies
- Driven, problem solver who takes initiatives and responds to changing priorities
- Persistency to pursue targets and take decisions
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
- Cultural awareness, especially Asian – European culture
- Ability to travel
