On-board diagnostic (OBD) function developer

Arbetsbeskrivning

We within Exhaust Aftertreatment System (EATS) Control are responsible for the software functions that control and monitor the exhaust emissions from the Volvo Group?s products such as trucks, buses & construction equipment. The functions are monitored by an on-board diagnostic (OBD) system that must detect a failure quickly with minimum impact on the truck?s up-time and the customers? profitability. This is an exciting challenge given the very versatile way that the Volvo Group?s products are used and operated!

We are now expanding our group further by forming an agile team dedicated to OBD function development. Do you want to be part of that journey?

What are we looking for?
To be able to take on this challenge successfully, we believe that you will possess the following skills and competencies:
- We believe that you have experience from OBD function development in the automotive industry, or have knowledge about exhaust emission control and want to grow your competence in the OBD area.
- As we are solving small and big problems, often starting with limited information, we believe you are pragmatic, driven and always open to learn new things.
- We have a strong emphasis on collaboration and sharing ? so we expect you are a team player that builds relationships.
- You have customer success in mind and actively contribute to continuous improvement of our products and way of working.

What can we offer you?
You will be part of an agile team developing OBD monitors meeting the legal requirements on all markets where Volvo Group are present such as US, Europe and Japan. You will be involved in all steps of the development process including legal requirement analysis, monitor design, software implementation in Simulink and verification. Together with our calibration engineers around the world you will contribute to the calibration and validation of the monitors. You will also develop the fault tracing tests that we provide to minimize maintenance and repair time.

To support competence development and innovation, hack days are organized regularly where all activities in line with Volvo?s mission to drive prosperity through transport solutions are encouraged. Work-life balance is important for us and we try to adjust the work situation after your needs.

Volvo Group provides a dynamic and global working environment which will give you the opportunity to interact with highly committed colleagues from different cultures. Customer success, Trust, Passion, Change and Performance are key values at Volvo.

At Volvo Group we are actively working to establish teams that take maximum advantage of the strength inherent in differences in background, knowledge, experience, age, gender and nationality.
