Onshore O&M Support Engineer to Wind

Generation Onshore Sweden is responsible for operating and maintaining Vattenfall Onshore Wind Farms in Sweden. Today our Wind Farms are spread out all over Sweden, from Ystad in the south to Suorva river in the north. The unit is experiencing an exciting growth and during 2015 we will take over the responsibility for three new wind farms.

Your responsibilities

Vattenfall Wind is looking for an Onshore O&M (Operation and Maintenance) Support Engineer who will support our Onshore Wind Farms and be responsible for O&M projects within Generation Onshore Sweden. The size of the projects can differ and you will be a project manager for both small and large projects. O&M projects could be complex repairs, troubleshooting, retrofits and continuous improvement. You will furthermore be responsible for coordinating and evaluating tests and technical issues across our Onshore wind farms and be our spoke person for technical questions both internally and externally. Example of focus areas the coming years will be technologies concerning ice detection, de-icing, anti-icing, main bearings and blades.

Your profile

*You have a university degree in engineering or other comparable background
*We expect you to have a good technical understanding
*Experience from project management is considered as an advantage, as well is experience from working within the wind area.

You have a willingness to lead and you are a trustworthy person. We expect you to have good communications skills and you take responsibility for your task. You are social, service minded by nature and create positive and strong relations. The position requires very good English knowledge, both written and spoken. Knowledge in Swedish is an advantage.

BU Wind is responsible for the development, construction, and operation of wind generation. We manage the maintenance, operation, and continuous improvement of wind generation assets, safely and with the highest levels of availability and profitability.

We carry out the sourcing and development of wind projects as well as having the full responsibility for wind project execution. We also perform the structuring and execution of project partnerships in accordance with overall wind strategy.
