Onsite Medical Coding Specialist

Proffice is, on assignment of one of our customers, looking for a Medical Coding Specialist. Our customer is a global company which recently based in Sweden. Job description . Responsible for coordination with the sponsor's Study Delivery Enablement team for Medical Coding dictionary version updates and developing coding practices . Responsible for guiding the development of coding sections of the Data Management Plans . Will manage coding consistency review process within the clinical, safety and medical functions . Ensure smooth handover and communication between functional teams . Will be responsible for review of SOP's on coding, coding conventions and terminology management . Will perform medical coding for clinical trials when required, use specific applications for the same and oversee medical coding activities of the offsite coding team . Will work with global teams and drive closure on all issues pertaining to medical coding for allocated studies . Will work in a global environment involving occasional travel . Will need to work and support offshore team in India & China Qualification . Bachelor's degree with 7 to 8 years of experience in clinical data management including at least 5 years of medical coding experience . Knowledge of MedDRA, and WHO dictionaries and coding practices along with good understanding of ICH and GCP guidelines . Experience in using various systems for medical coding activity . Must have working knowledge of the clinical data management processes and systems . Written and oral communication skills are required along with good understanding of clinical drug development process . Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to delegate appropriately . Excellent interpersonal skills
