NORSE is currently expanding its operations and needs to establish operational systems and tools to support accelerated growth. Founded in 2022, Norse combines years of drilling experience and high-quality equipment with a mindset focused on reliability, productivity, and transparency to develop and provide Scandinavia's most professional and sustainable drilling services for the mineral exploration, mining, and geotechnical industries.

We are looking for a genuine and caring colleague who loves to champion company performance with a wide range of responsibilities for the operational side of NORSE, working closely with the Managing Director and CFO.
The COO, reporting directly to the Managing Director, forms a vital part of senior management. You will be responsible for spearheading NORSE's consistent and safe delivery of high-quality services to all our clients in collaboration with our business partners. Most importantly, you will be an ambassador of the NORSE corporate culture.
Key responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to:
Strategic company development
* Participate in and provide the foundation for the Company's strategic process, long-term planning, and budgeting
* Responsible for operational planning, project execution and optimising financial performance through safe and efficient operations
* Develop, establish, and industrialise all operational systems, structures, equipment pool, and competence development
* Responsible for developing relations towards operational partners
Operational excellence
* Manage daily operations, business development and project scoping to continuously increase client value creation, and Company performance
* Participate in commercial development, including systematisation of commercial processes and decision making, providing input to and assessment of proposed business cases
* Responsible for all operational systems, resources, and reporting
* Maintain 3rd party relations towards operational partners and suppliers
* Develop and direct performance target setting, assessment and the follow up of daily operations
* Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
* Be central in defining, selecting, implementing and the continuous improvement of all companywide systems and platforms
* Drive and support continuous improvement processes
Location
The role is based at the company head office in Östersund and will require ad-hoc travel to sites across the Nordics as required.

Qualifications and experience
We are looking for candidates with a background typically consisting of:
* University degree in engineering, or equivalent
* Minimum 10 years of experience from a senior project or line function, leadership experience and result responsibilities
* Strong understanding of project planning and execution from construction related industries
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, and a good general understanding of IT systems
* Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Fluency in English and one Scandinavian language written and spoken
* Good experience of working with and in ERP-systems and preferably experience in development of IT solutions
* International experience is also a plus
