Service Operations (SO) within VGT is responsible for providing runtime services ensuring that our customer deliveries are supported and managed in accordance with agreed service levels.

Some Telematics services provided by VGT are used in life saving situations such as automatic vehicle crash detection and notification systems. This places high demands on the infrastructure and services we provide, which is why we require skilled and dedicated team members to ensure a totally reliable delivery.

The role of Operations Quality Assurance Manager within Service Operations is varied, covering areas associated with Configuration Management, Process Management and Documentation Management. Ensuring that the necessary processes, routines, configuration control and documentation are in place is vital if we are to consistently provide Telematics services that meet external and internal requirements. You will play an active and integral part of the daily work of the SO team with an enhanced focus around the areas of Change and Release management. You will represent SO when working with other groups within VGT and Volvo IT when it comes to Operational quality. This is a functional manager role without direct reports.

Main responsibilities:
- Ensuring that SO Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) on Telematics applications are defined in collaboration with
- Operating staff and other involved parties and that they are documented and maintained.
- Ensuring that SO NFR´s are integrated into main development processes and quality gates and that compliance is measured.
- Ensuring SO requirements regarding documentation are defined and maintained and participating in organisation-wide documentation harmonization activities governing issues such as type, storage policy, identifying, approval etc
- Having an in-depth understanding of key ITIL processes used within VGT Problem, Change, Release and ensuring that SO specific implementations are defined, documented and maintained.
- Ensure the promotion and awareness of SO requirements throughout the organization.
- Liaise with the relevant parties on all matters related to internal or external accreditation processes.
- Ensure that all new staff are inducted into the relevant SO requirements, related to their own roles and responsibilities.
- Provide update training as necessary.
- Taking part in supplier evaluation activities where needed from a requirements compliance standpoint.
- Monitoring quality performance & compliance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.

This position requires:
- Configuration Management experience
- Experience from software engineering and agile development
- Ability to inspire, develop and motivate individuals and teams
- Process management experience
- ITIL experience
- Desire to constantly improve working methods and processes
- Fluent in English and Swedish - both written and spoken
