Aimpoint is moving forward strongly and now we need to hire another Optical Engineer

We are looking for an Optical Design Engineer to strengthen the company in developing and designing the company's future products. You will contribute to our research and development efforts with your optical knowledge. Our products are constantly evolving and there is a need to introduce new technologies and new concepts into our products.

About the role:

You will work in various projects together with engineers who develop mechanics, electronics and software for our products. As an Optical Design Engineer, you play an important role in developing our optical design on our new and old products through modelling, verification and practical evaluation. The role will be central for the development of optronic systems and display technology for our future products and with your expertis you search for new ideas and innovations, world wide.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Design new optical systems for our sights

Participate in activities for product development, industrial production

Analyze, simulate and verify image quality and other performance indicators

Perform experiments

Contact with suppliers and customers

Be involved in patent applications

Documentation

Production support

Your background

We believe you have a Master of Science in Engineering, Physics, Optics or equivalent.

Who are you?

You have good knowledge and experience in designing optical systems

You are a team player with a positive problem-solving attitude

You are curious and driven by a deep technical interest

You can run assignments and manage priorities yourself

Have experience with Zemax OpticStudio, Code V, LightTools or similar
